Electoral observation and monitoring

As an independent and transparent organization, our mandate is focused on the crucial task of electoral observation and monitoring. We are committed to carefully assessing electoral processes to verify their legitimacy and adherence to electoral laws and regulations. By undertaking this vital role, we aim to ensure the integrity and fairness of elections, providing unbiased assessments and promoting transparency in the democratic process.

Training of electoral witnesses

The training of electoral witnesses holds paramount importance in the establishment of robust electoral procedures, as they bear the responsibility of observing and documenting any irregularities that occur during the electoral process. Equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills, they play a crucial role in raising concerns and lodging complaints to prompt the intervention of relevant authorities. By ensuring their competence through comprehensive training, we can enhance the integrity and credibility of the electoral system.

Denunciation of corruption in the public enterprises

Our mission is to redefine and safeguard democracy, fostering a political landscape that instills trust and generates a sense of pride. We are determined to combat the underlying threats prevalent in the current political climate in Africa, namely, corruption within public institutions, manipulated elections, prolonged tenures of heads of state, media manipulation, and control over urban centers.

If You See Something, Say Something

If You See Something, Say Something” is a national campaign to enhance public awareness regarding the signs of corruption and injustice concerning the upcoming December 2023 election. The campaign seeks to educate the public on recognizing suspicious activity and encourages them to report such instances through appropriate channels.

The campaign serves as a platform to educate citizens about the indicators of corruption and injustice that may be prevalent during the election period, empowering them with the knowledge to identify irregularities, misconduct, or any form of unethical behavior that could undermine the integrity of the electoral process.

Furthermore, the campaign emphasizes the importance of reporting suspicious activity, providing information on the appropriate procedures and channels through which individuals can report their concerns. This may involve engaging with electoral commissions, relevant government agencies, or independent organizations overseeing the elec tion process.

By raising public awareness and promoting a culture of vigilance, the campaign aims to foster a sense of responsibility among citizens to play an active role in upholding the principles of transparency, fairness, and accountability during the December 2023 election.

Our Services

The OILICE Organization acts in accordance with the fundamental rules of human rights. This policy ensures equality before the law of all citizens without distinction of origin, race, or religion.

It undertakes to produce and communicate information on these issues and carries out actions with an educational and preventive role for all citizens. Under the term corruption, the organization targets all forms of embezzlement and misconduct, including conflicts of interest, misuse of corporate assets, peddling, embezzlement of public funds, unlawful taking of interest, and any breach of public integrity.

Electoral justice, Sustainable democracy

We are dedicated to promoting electoral justice and sustainable democracy through measures targeting both citizens and institutions

Democratic Rights to Vote and to run for office

Sustainable democracy can only be achieved if citizens know their democratic rights- their right to vote and to run for office. We are dedicated to supporting public and private institutions to educate citizens about their voting rights and how to use them wisely.

Education to democracy, credible elections

We consider citizen participation as a factor of sustainable democracy. We, therefore, are dedicated to providing education, whether formal or informal, to African citizens and supporting governing institutions to help build resilient democracies that benefit all.

Electoral Observation and Monitoring

Our mandate as an independent and transparent organization is to observe and monitor the electoral processes to verify their validity and compliance with the electoral legislation.

Training of Electoral Witnesses

Training of electoral witnesses is extremely important for developing reliable electoral processes, as they are in charge of observing any irregularities and formulating claims to request the intervention of the authorities.

Denunciation of Corruption in the Public Enterprises

To reinvent and protect democracy and a political life that inspires confidence and pride, our fight is against the menaces at the root of the current political situation in Africa: corruption in public enterprises, rigged elections, heads of state staying in power indefinitely, manipulation of the media and metropolises, etc.

Legislative/ Civic Education

For African citizens to be able to participate in and contribute to democracy effectively, they need to be well-informed about how the various social and political processes work. Consideration should be given to the current education system and its efficiency, as well as the promotion of civic culture to sensitize citizens not only about their electoral rights but also about their responsibilities as citizens. Support our goal of introducing legislative civic education in the African educational system toward achieving true democracy.

Seeking Electoral Justice

Our goal is to make attempts and support the system to achieve electoral justice, which is the benchmark for protecting the political rights of citizens and political parties. Support us in our fight against the prevailing corruption in public institutions, fraudulent practices in the electoral processes, increased abstentionism, and the discredit of the authorities.

Social Communication

Through social communication, we strive to inform and educate citizens on issues relevant to electoral processes, their electoral rights, and other issues relevant to their society. We aim to transmit information, messages, and ideas to spread awareness and influence social attitudes and public opinions toward achieving electoral justice.
